Cait from Little City Farmhouse chose our pretty new limited edition color, Ever After paired with Belt Buckle metallic cream to give this end table a touch of magic!

I think it’s just one of those things, but every little girl seems to just love purple! I know my daughter does!

I thought a lot about this colour and what room it would go in. Obviously a girl’s room, but I didn’t want to go the nursery route. I thought a lot about the tween age and so I went looking for a piece of furniture that could use a pop of colour that would be perfect in a tween or teenagers room. This side table was the perfect piece.

I gave it a good cleaning and sanding because the original finish was pretty shiny. I then gave it two coats of this deep but muted lilac, Ever After. I wanted to dress it up a bit so I painted the ball feet in Belt Buckle Metallic Cream – a really beautiful deep bronze.

I distressed the rest of the dresser and gave it a coat of wax for added protection. Even though the All in One formula has a built in topcoat, I like to add an additional topcoat both for the appearance (I like the look of wax) and because piece like this usually get heavier use.

I added a pretty knob to tie in with the bronze feet and the distressing. I think this is a great piece for a girl’s room!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
