Who here loves modern-style furniture? Cait from Little City Farmhouse nailed it with this sleek tallboy in Cobblestone!

The ability of paint to completely transform a piece of furniture amazes me every time! A customer of mine recently dropped off her bedroom suite to be refinished, including this huge dresser. This piece is over five feet tall! Because of the very dark finish it had, the piece felt very overwhelming in a room because of it’s size. Even though we chose a darker colour for this piece, it brightened it up substantially and gave it a more modern look!

I prepped the dresser by giving it a good cleaning and sanding and repairing spots that had obvious chips and damage. I then gave it two coats of Cobblestone in the All-in-One formula.

Because my customer wanted a more modern look, we chose not to do any distressing on this piece. I gave it several coats of Clear Coat to give it a little bit of sheen.

We paired it with new hardware in a brushed steel finish which pairs beautifully with Cobblestone. This dresser went from a huge overwhelming piece to a handsome tall dresser that you can see the shape and detail of! All with just a little bit of paint!

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
