Another beautifully simple and sleek dresser redesign by Jen from Migonis Home

What is your favorite part of a makeover? Is it picking the color? Is it brainstorming a totally new vision for the piece than anyone but you can see? Or is it the statement making knobs that you can’t help yourself from putting on every piece? I couldn’t tell you what my favorite part is… I love it all. Except maybe the part where I have to figure out how to lug the furniture into my house 🙂

This piece was so fun to transform. It was a side of the road find and we lived with it with a coat of Revere Pewter for a while and loved it.

As time went on I realized we needed more storage in that corner of the kitchen and I decided to give this piece a makeover before selling it. I did something I’d never done on a piece of furniture…take out the door insides and replace them with mirrors.

I painted the whole piece in in Country Chic Paint’s Pebble Beach. It is a perfect gray with barely a hint of blue.

I think a safe choice for knobs and pulls if you are in doubt are either glass or acrylic. They seem to go with almost any style and add a bit of glamour to an otherwise neutral piece.

I love the way this piece came out and think its such a great change from the “before”.
