Jen from Migonis Home found this cute, spindly high chair for a steal of a deal and turned it into a pretty pink highchair for her daughter’s first birthday!

For my daughter’s first birthday I was searching Craigslist and thrift stores for a vintage wooden highchair. I couldn’t find one anywhere. And then about three weeks after the party I found what I was looking for.

For $2.66.

Yep, you read that right.

I needed to do a little bit of wood filler and sanding before beginning the fun part. I had this great sample size paint of Strawberry Ice-Cream and some leftover Creme Brulee. First I coated the highchair in Creme Brulee and then Strawberry Ice-Cream. I love how cheery the chair looks now. It really brings out the sweet leg details.

Somehow it just looks better with my sweet girl in it. 🙂 I love how cheery the chair is now!

And I love the sample sizes… I still have half the sample size left after one coat on the chair… the fact that I didn’t need to order a large size gave me the courage to be a little more bold with my color choice!
