Chocolate Dipped Lamp

Doesn’t this just sound delicious? Lindsay from My Creative Days made over another of her yard sale finds by giving the base a dipped look in Chocolate Tart.

Hello, Country Chic Paint readers! It is Lindsay from My Creative Days here to share an easy, DIY lamp project.
I got the inspiration for this lamp from all the “dipped” furniture I have seen lately. A lot of people are giving furniture pieces a “dipped” look by painting the bottom portion of the legs a different color than the rest of the piece.
I wanted to give that same look to this lamp. I picked it up at a yard sale for $1. It was such a blank canvas that I couldn’t pass it up. It was screaming to be transformed! “Chocolate Tart” from Country Chic Paint helped me do that.

To give it the “dipped” look, I only painted the bottom portion “Chocolate Tart”.

When that dried, I hot glued small rope around the rest of the lamp. I LOVE the texture the rope gives the lamp!

I added a basic, linen lamp shade. What a transformation!

I am thrilled with how this basic, white lamp turned out. It is amazing what a little “chocolate” can do to a piece! 😉
