Carissa from Carissa Miss gave her nightstands a makeover by applying Pebble Beach with a paint sprayer, followed by a coat of Natural Wax!

Are you wowed enough with all the magical transformations taking place with Country Chic Paint? I am. Every time I see an awesome piece of furniture on Pinterest, I say, “I bet that was a Country Chic Paint Gal who did that.” Even if they painted something different than furniture these ladies are so talented. I feel so humbled to knock elbows with them at Country Chic Paint. I usually am not very adventurous with my transformations, but I’m working on a top secret project I think will WOW YOUR SOCKS OFF. yes. I did just say that. You are going to think it was done by someone else because it is so not me and not in my comfort zone. Well, guess what. It’s not for me. haha. A client approached me and wanted something bold. But I digress, I’m here to talk about something that is right up my normal and predictable alley. These nightstands:

A pair of fairly sturdy pieces with really good bones. These are fine as they are. However, black makes big heavy furniture seem even bigger and heavier. So, a little Pebble Beach is the answer!

So much lighter! I looove how they look. I just want to go lay on the beach and soak in the sun. We went with Country Chic Paint’s Pebble Beach and then a coat of Natural Wax.

It was my first time using a paint sprayer with the chalk-based paint and it went pretty well. I had a little trouble figuring out the right viscosity since chalk-based paint is thicker than normal latex, but once I figured the correct thinness out, I was able to paint these in just a couple minutes. Country Chic paint goes on with such good coverage I only had to do 2 coats! With drying time, I only spent 2 hours on these nightstands, and only 10 minutes of that was actually painting.

I love how matte they look. Now, just have to finish painting the matching armoire and then we’ll have a finished set!
