Heidi from Lily Field Furniture updated a buffet and a dresser in a color matched paint and we just love how they turned out!

Hi guys, it’s Heidi from Lily Field Furniture back again to share two before and afters with you!
I have a client that has purchased several pieces painted with Country Chic Paint and she love, loves the way it looks and feels. She requested I paint this lovely buffet with the same paint.

The problem? She wanted Sherwin Williams color in Cast Iron. I contacted the awesome ladies at Country Chic Paint and did you know that they do custom color matches? How great is that?! I couldn’t believe how close the colors matched once I received the paint!

I love the way this color turned out on the buffet. It’s such a deep, classic and sophisticated color!

And the true test- check out this perfect color matching from Country Chic!

I loved this color so much I decided to use it on an antique highboy that I have had sitting in the garage for about 6 months. It was a real disaster and I kept putting it off because I knew how much work it was going to take.

Can you see this?! Your eyes are not deceiving you. The previous owner took a SHARPIE to the drawers to label the inside contents. I kid you not! Even crossed off a label and added new ones as time went on. Oh my word!!

Needless to say it was in rough shape. A lot of the veneer and detailing were so badly damaged that I ended up removing most of it. I couldn’t salvage the details on the middle drawers and hemmed and hawed about what to do there. I finally settled on adding some wood decals from the hardware store.

Normally you wouldn’t need to prime when using Country Chic Paint but in this case I did. I knew I wanted to heavily distress and that the new decals would distress much lighter if I didn’t prime with a wood tone first. After the primer I painted with my color match paint (that was still 3/4 full even after painting that big buffet!) and sealed with Country Chic Tough Coat.
