Pretty Striped Side Tables

These pretty little striped tables were created by Karen from Karen Hockman Interiors using Vanilla Frosting, Sage Advice, and a bit of painter’s tape!

Hi I am Karen Hockman of Karen Hockman Interiors and I am so excited to be guest blogging for Country Chic. I hope you enjoy my creations.
These tables came to me from a friend that no longer had a use for them. Love when that happens. They are solid wood and in really great shape. Just a few blemishes, nothing that a little sandpaper and Country Chic Paint wouldn’t fix.

I used extra fine sand paper 220 grit just to smooth out the scratches. I painted the tables using Country Chic’s Vanilla Frosting. I love the soft off-white of Vanilla Frosting, and this covered great in two coats. I also wanted to add a wide stripe down the middle of the tables. I taped off my area using blue painters tape. Make sure that the edges of your tape are firmly secure. If not, the paint will bleed through.
I then painted the stripe with Sage Advice. This soft green is beautiful and I am now in love and want to use it again on something. I painted two coats. It is best to pull the tape off while the paint is still wet, and pull it towards the inside of the stripe. Once all the paint was dry, I like to wait a few hours or overnight, I used Country Chic’s natural wax.

Love the look.

I also painted the side panels with the Sage Advice. I must admit that these tables look great in my living room. I love how the Vanilla Frosting and Sage Advice go so well with the blue walls, blue and orange lamp and the pink vase on the table. I am a happy girl.
