Heidi from Lily Field Furniture had fun working on this craft project with her daughter for Teachers Appreciation Week! They used Vintage Cupcake, Perfection, Sweet Pea, and Luscious Lime.

It’s Thursday and it’s Teachers Appreciation week. Oops! I am notorious for being last minute on these types of things. As I was running errands today I thought of this very simple project that I knew my daughter would have a lot of fun helping with. You have probably seen this idea all over the internet but here I am to show you how easy it is to whip up some sweet mason jar planters with Country Chic Paint!

My daughter chose to use purple (Perfection) and pink (Vintage Cupcake) while I chose 2 shades of green (Luscious Lime and Sweet Pea).

We started by wiping down the mason jars and making sure they were completely clean. Then we went to work using foam brushes to apply the first coat of paint. Isn’t my helper adorable?! She was SO excited to use mom’s special paint for this project!

This is what they looked like after the first coat. Note my other cute photo bomber.

After applying 2 coats of paint we gently sanded down the edges to show some distressing. To seal the paint I used Natural wax and wiped off the excess. Simply take your flowers or succulents and place them into the jar! I found these cute printable tags over at www.733blog.com and used chopsticks to stick out of the plants! Seriously the easiest project ever! This took us about an hour start to finish and included drying time.

These would also make a great Mother’s Day gift, just switch out the tag! Hope you enjoy making these as much as my daughter and I did!
