This simple little side table was given a fabulous makeover by Cait from Little City Farmhouse with Cobblestone and Belt Buckle metallic cream legs!

Hello! I’m Cait from Little City Farmhouse and I am back to share with you another project using my favourite product from Country Chic – Metallic Cream!
It’s no secret that I love these Metallic Creams! They are super durable, adhere fantastically to nearly any surface, and the shimmer and finish of them is beautiful!

To start this project, I painted the legs of the table first in Metallic Cream in Belt Buckle. It’s such a gorgeous dark bronze shade – I love it! To get a solid finish with the Metallic Creams, the colour needs to be built up in coats. Because Belt Buckle is a dark shade, it only took three coats to get a solid bronze finish. It dries quite fast, so you can do the coats quite close together.

I let the Metallic Cream dry overnight because I knew I would be needing to tape it off to paint the rest of the table. Whenever I am taping off furniture projects, I always use a paper tape, like Washi tape, because it is super low-tac but it also has the absolute cleanest line when you pull it off.

I taped off the table legs and painted the rest of the table in Cobblestone. The two colours pair together beautifully!

I lightly sanded the Cobblestone painted areas, and waxed them with a combination of Clear and Antique Wax. Using the two in combination gives you the look of the dark wax without the heaviness of it. I usually put a bit of each in a separate jar and apply them at the same time.

The result is gorgeous, and sure to add luxury to any space!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
