Come see our new limited edition color, Fireside in action on these fun Halloween themed frames by Carrie from Thirty Eighth Street!

Decorating with intention can do two things- it can save you money and give meaning to your space! It’s a delightful tradition in our home to incorporate our children’s historical Halloween pictures into our holiday decorating each October. My children always giggle as they pull out the pictures, reminisce and remember stories specific to those years.

Our photo collection has increased over the years and was just begging for some additional frames. Not wanting to spend a lot of money purchasing something new, I decided to shop from what I already had! If you’re not a frame hoarder like I am, hit your local thrift store. 🙂 You can usually find a wide selection for just cents.

I love big and bold patterns. So in addition to some plain and striped frames in Fireside- one of Country Chic Paint’s NEW Fall/Winter 2015 Limited Edition Colors, I also created one with a zig-zag pattern using Licorice and Vanilla Frosting. And when it all came together, the added pop of Fireside brightened up our Halloween vignette and gave it such warmth.

The featured Halloween printables can be found here and here for your personal use. We loved Fireside so much, we’re going to be creating some striped curtains with it!

Enjoy making your own memories on this fun and creative holiday!

Carrie {Thirty Eighth Street}

Hi! I’m Carrie from sunny Southern Arizona and blogger at Thirty Eighth Street. I live in a house full of rumble tumble boys and paint is my nail polish. I love the process of repurposing, reusing and recycling unloved furniture and turning them into show stopper pieces. I’m a firm believer that it doesn’t have to cost a fortune to decorate a home. My mission is to demonstrate this, one piece at a time!
