Do you have an old lamp kicking around that’s ready for the dumpster? Don’t throw it out yet! Come see how Lindsey from Everyday Originals up-cycled an old lamp stand into this royal fall bistro table in Aurora and Dark Roast!

I created this bistro table using a $2 lamp base and a table top from a $3 thrift store side table. I wanted it to feel warm on the porch for fall – a cozy place for a cup of tea on chilly mornings.

I painted the lamp base in CCP’s Aurora. It took two coats for full coverage and then a few touch ups after that. I let it dry for a few hours before taking a light grit sandpaper to it to allow some of the brass to shine through. I love the way it turned out.

For the table top I used some left over CCP Dark Roast, which is a warm brown-black color. The top only needed one coat of paint for full coverage. The glass top makes the whole thing look a bit more classy, don’t you think?

The two toned look is exactly what I was going for and both the colors pop against our white house while looking rich and warm for the cooler seasons. How are you guys using these limited edition colors? They’re really so perfect for projects around this time of year. I can’t wait to incorporate more of them in my decor for the holidays!
