Michele from Shelstring used our All-in-One Decor Paint in Liquorice and Vanilla Frosting to give these two chairs a more sophisticated look. Come check it out!

Hello Country Chic Paint lovers!

This project I’m going to share with you today was so much fun for me, so I’m really excited to share it with you!! I bought these chairs at my favorite antique shop Treasures from the Heart for 5 bucks a piece. Can you believe that?!

Though yellow is my favorite color, I decided they needed new life.
Okay, I admit, I never planned on keeping them this color in the first place. Sorry.

The first thing I did was remove the old chair cushions. They had LOTS of staples. You can count them and be impressed if you want, but not too impressed. I took a break between cushions 😉

I’m sorry I don’t have any “in process” pictures because I was in the midst of other projects during drying time and just too occupied to keep grabbing the camera. I but I gave these chairs 2 coats of Liquorice and some touch ups. The yellow was really bright!

Then I taped off lines for the stripes using frog tape then painted them in Vanilla Frosting. I recovered them using some leftover drop cloth I used on this project.

The “afters” were actually taken just before running them over to my shop space at Sweet Salvage. I was sure to prop them and give them a quick shoot before heading off because of my regret for not doing the same with this awesome stool that I refinished and never got after pictures of.

The only picture I got of it finished was this quick cell phone one.

Yeah, you can barely see it.

*sigh*

So lesson learned, take time for a quick photo session before heading off to the shop, where once you drop them off, you may never see them again.

All three of these items were classed up in Country Chic Paints awesome Vanilla Frosting and Licourice. Two of my FAVORITE colors. They are my “go to” colors in a pinch.

They never disappoint me!

I was in a hurry when I stenciled the numbers on, so to be quite honest, that’s why there was bleeding. But that didn’t seem to matter to the buyers.

These chairs were gone in the blink of an eye!
