Cait from Little City Farmhouse beautified this antique-style French chair with just a touch of Cobblestone!

Hello friends!

I do a lot of reupholstering in my shop, and that often involves painting the frames of chairs. This is such a fantastic way to really add personality to a chair that needs a little love!

This chair was worn and tired, so I painted it in two coats of Cobblestone. I didn’t prep the chair at all for painting. Because the finish was so worn, it was ready for paint. I love this grey – it goes with everything!

Once it was dry I gave it a good sanding and distressing. The chair had a lot of character and I wanted to emphasize that.

I waxed it with Antique Wax – I love using a dark wax over Cobblestone to really bring out the richness of the colour.

The colour frames out the upholstery perfectly!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
