Did you know you can paint walls with CCP? Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this wall a fresh new look with Vanilla Frosting!

Hello! I am so excited to share with you a project I did for my own home – which almost never happens!

Do you love shiplap? I do! I’ve wanted to do it in several places in my house for a long time and my hubby finally put it up for me in our family room! When it came to painting I knew I wanted to do something different than standard latex wall paint. I wanted my wall to still have a rustic look after it was painted.

I did give the shiplap a coat of slightly thinned out primer to seal the wood first. To paint the shiplap, I used about 3/4 of a quart of Vanilla Frosting.

I wanted good coverage, but not a solid coat of paint, so I poured the Vanilla Frosting into another container and mixed it with about 3/4 cup of water. This thinned the paint out enough that I could do several light coats!

I put three coats of paint on the wall using a small roller. I can’t get over how beautiful an authentic the paint looks on the wall! It was exactly the look I was after. I didn’t put any sort of topcoat on it -but if you’d like a coat of protection on it you definitely could wax or tough coat it.

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
