Country Chair Makeover {guest post}

Come read all about this sweet little country chair by Jamie from Style Your Nest and find out how she used our Beeswax Distressing Bar to achieve this beautiful, rustic finish!

I loved this chair when it was given to me, but it was a mess. The history is unknown, but someone was attempting to do something with it and clearly it didn’t work out.

I’ve really been wanting to do a white/red distressed look and this chair just called out to me. I used Country Chic’s Devotion All-In-One paint first. The first coat took so well that I didn’t need to do a second, especially since Simplicity would be the top colour.

Once the red had dried, I applied Country Chic Paint’s beeswax distressing bar to the areas where natural wear and tear would occur. Right after, I applied two coats of Simplicity and started sanding away. Quickly the red starting appearing and the two combos look lovely together.

I am thrilled with how the chair turned out, but I am debating about sanding a bit more so more red appears. I am known to be indecisive, so I am letting the chair sit a little longer before I make my final decision. Even if I leave the chair as is, I am so happy with how it turned out. I can just picture it sitting in a beautiful country home.
