Come find out how Marnia from Marnia’s Measures & Treasures transformed this flea market find into a stunning accent piece with Vanilla Frosting, antiquing wax, and glaze!
I picked up this lovely round side table at our local flea market a few weeks back and I’m loving how it turned out. So much so, that I decided to keep it!
It was in pretty rough shape and I was curious what was under that thick coat of paint! Once I stripped down the top I fell in love with the wood grain and decided to enhance it, rather than cover it. For this I used CC Antiquing Wax applied with a soft lint free cloth. For the rest of the piece I painted in Vanilla Frosting, let dry and then rubbed on a generous amount of Dark Roast Glaze and using a soft lint free, damp (not wet) cloth I removed any excess and reapplied where desired. With the glaze you’ll have more time to play before the paint sets to get the look you want.
That’s it! Little product with a stunning result.

I am a Momma of 4, ranging from 8 months old to 22 years and a grandma to a beautiful granddaughter who is also 8 months. I am #2 in the line up of 4 girls who are my best friends! Raised by a Mom and Dad who encouraged creativity and let us paint our own rooms and furniture as we pleased. I believe having a hobby is a necessity for happiness…well, that and having a hubby that encourages my addiction to thrift! I love to teach and see ones glow after learning/accomplishing something new.
