This antique buffet was re-loved by Cait from Little City Farmhouse with Cobblestone, Tough Coat, and a bit of natural and antiquing wax!

Hello readers!

I am so excited to share this project with you today! This buffet came to me needing a whole lot of love. It was in desperate need of a new look!

The top was sanded down and re-stained. I applied two coats of Tough Coat to give it a hard and durable finish.

I painted the rest of the piece in two coats of Cobblestone, and sanded it lightly to distress it.

Because of all the character of the piece (the dings and dents), I waxed the piece with a combination of clear and antique wax. The dark wax beautifully highlights the character and gives a nod to the age and love the piece had seen over all it’s years.

What once sat unloved, is now a beautiful family piece!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
