Cait from Little City Farmhouse used Vanilla Frosting to give this beautiful chair a rustic, farmhouse look!

Hello readers!

I have a pretty little project to share with you today! I have had this antique chair sitting in my workroom for a long time. When I finally got the chance to work on it recently, I knew the only colour for it was Vanilla Frosting, and it needed to be really distressed. I wanted a classic farmhouse look of age and wear and a lot of love.

I painted the chair in two coats of Vanilla Frosting in the All-in-One formula. I can’t say enough good things about this formula! It’s my favourite for projects that you want a really distressed finish on. I painted it using Country Chic’s newest oval shaped paintbrush – it holds so much paint, and the application is amazing. If you need a new paintbrush, be sure to pick this one up!

When it was dry, I sanded it really well, making sure to hit all the edges and curves – places where natural wear would occur after years and years of sitting.

My favourite part of the All-in-One formula is that the top coat is built in! If you are looking for a quick afternoon or evening project, definitely try using this formula – once your piece is painted, it’s done!

I’m thrilled with how the chair turned out. It’s classic farmhouse look is exactly what I wanted!

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
