This fabulous, rustic cabinet was refurbished by Julie from Salvage Sisters & Co with just a little bit of Elegance!

Hey ya’ll it’s Julie from Salvage Sisters & Co.! I just finished-up this adorable primitive cabinet. When this beauty came into my life it was missing a cabinet door and the other was barely hanging on… I decided we didn’t need no stinkin’ doors. I could picture this in a dining room holding mismatched china, in a bathroom with towels and fancy soap, or in a bedroom/ guest area with quilts and pillows looking all shabby chic!

Pictured here as a cat condo (so versatile).

This was a single coat of Elegance Country Chic Paint, a delectable soft blue gray color that is divine over this warm wood tone. The top was in good condition so I decided to leave the natural wood.

After letting it dry completely I sanded it all with 220 grit sandpaper and let the beauty of this piece shine through. This was a quick easy process because I used the All-In-One Paint!

I just love the way it looks rustic and worn but with the soft beautiful color to keep a vintage touch.

Stacy & Julie {Salvage Sisters & Co}

We are two sisters living in Nebraska and Colorado pursuing our dream of having a business together – painting, repurposing and salvaging furniture and decor. In 2014 after a few years in the south, Stacy moved back to Nebraska. With our distance apart being less excruciating we decided to jump on the opportunity to follow our passion for crafting and start doing festivals and shows. Thanks to all of our friends in the community our tent was bare by the end of each weekend! We quickly learned our dreams were becoming a reality and we needed a way to be more in touch on a daily basis and so, our online store was born.

As we continue to grow we strive for our business to embody all of the things that we hold nearest to our heart- family, community and home. The Salvage Sisters are all about spending time together with the people we love and there’s no better place to do that than home. We are inspired by comfortable, lived-in homes that are filled with a perfect balance of both old and new. We hope that our passion shines from the warmth of our hearts into your home.
