Hello readers!

I am popping in today to share with you a fun project to add some organization to your home! I am a huge fan of chalkboards – did you know you can use Country Chic’s paint to create them?

I found these frames on a local buy and sell site, and I knew they’d be perfect for chalkboards. I measured the back of the frames and had my hubby cut hardboard to fit. I painted the hardboard with two coats of Liquorice (in the regular formula) and let it dry for 24 hours. After that I seasoned the boards with chalk and they were ready to go!

I painted the larger frame in Dune Grass. I distressed it and waxed it with Antique Wax to really give it some age and character. The smaller frame I painted in Coastal Fog and waxed it with White Wax to give it a washed look – I love the look of the white wax over the beautiful grey!

I attached the boards to the frames and they were finished! The perfect place to jot down reminders, appointments, or messages to your family!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
