Adding a vintage feel to your home doesn’t have to be hard! Come learn more about this fantastic window frame-turned-art project Cait from Little City Farmhouse. She used our limited edition color, Peacoat along with some Antiquing Wax to give this old window new life!

Hello!

Vintage pieces are such a great way to add character to your home decor. When you find a piece you love, like this old window, but it’s not in the colour or finish you prefer, why not paint it?

The first step was to really clean the window frame. Fortunately, only one side of this window was painted, the other was raw wood. I painted the raw wood side in one coat of Peacoat, a limited edition colour from this past winter. It’s no longer available, but Country Chic Paint can still custom mix the colour for you!

When it was dry, I lightly distressed the edges. To add some extra depth to the beautiful navy colour I rubbed on Antiquing Wax. This huge oversized window has so much character and charm, and is going to look beautiful hanging in it’s new home!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
