Cait from Little City Farmhouse used our new limited edition color, Wanderess and one of our ceramic white rose knobs to beautify this pretty little end table!

Hello!

It’s always an exciting time when Country Chic releases their line-up of Limited Edition paint colours. They are always so beautiful and in line with current trends in the home decor world. This new colour, Wanderess, is no exception. The deep but subtle green-blue turquoise is such a beautiful shade.

The colour was a near perfect match to a shade in the area rug in my living room, and I happened to have an old wobbly white table next to my couch that seriously needed an update. It’s an antique table with a drawer that doesn’t quite close and about a hundred badly applied layers of paint – the charm and joys of antique furniture! My hubby fixed the wobbly leg and I applied two coats of Wanderess.

Because the last layer of paint had been white, I knew I didn’t want to distress the table and have that show through. I didn’t sand the table at all – the rougher texture of layers upon layers of paint was the perfect canvas for Antique Wax. I first applied Natural Wax all over the table to create a barrier between the paint and Antique Wax. This prevents the dark colour of the Antique Wax from changing the colour of the paint.

I love this new colour. It warmed up the table and gave it so much presence in my living room!

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
