Andrea from Crossroad Creations really made the details on this frame pop with Wanderess and Gold Wax!

I found this old mirror at an auction and purchased it because of all the detail in the frame. It must have been hanging somewhere for a very long time because it required a lot of elbow grease to get the frame clean! The photo below shows what the frame looked like when I found it. Other than the deep clean, it was ready to paint!

I chose to paint the frame in Wanderess, one of this season’s limited edition colours from Country Chic Paint. After allowing the paint to dry overnight, I used the gold wax to really accentuate the details of the frame. I used a pretty heavy application of wax because I knew I wanted it to be bold in all of crevices. I used a microfiber cloth to wipe away the excess from all of the raised areas so that the gold wax would really stand out and provide contrast. Here is what the frame looked like before and after the wax.

I am so happy with this transformation and love how the gold wax accentuated the colour and details of the frame. I can’t wait to hang this mirror!
