This art deco inspired dresser was refurbished by Andrea from Crossroad Creations with Vanilla Frosting, Pebble Beach, and just enough Rocky Mountain to make the design pop!

I found this dresser at an auction, and is probably a style that many of us have seen before. I hate seeing a piece of furniture go to waste, so I brought it home with me to give it new life. I was tempted to paint over the design completely, but decided instead to accent the original details.

After using primer to seal the dresser, I chose to paint the main body of the dresser in Pebble Beach and then brought in Vanilla Frosting and Rocky Mountain to accent the front of the drawers. I taped off the dark lines in Rocky Mountain going down the dresser and then painted the curved lines by hand.

After letting the dresser dry overnight, I finished it with Natural Wax using the large wax brush. After putting on a layer of wax I used a lint free rag to lightly buff the finish to give it a soft glow. I changed out the drawer handles in silver to complete the monochromatic look of the dresser.
