Have you tried using Antiquing Dust to add a rustic, aged look to your furniture? Cait from Little City Farmhouse used Antiquing Dust in the color, Willow for this Lazy Linen table and it turned out just beautifully!

Hello!

Have you tried Country Chic’s Antiquing Dust yet? If you haven’t, you should! It’s easy to use and perfect for getting a weathered finish look.

This table had a very yellowed finish on it. I cleaned and sanded it well and then painted it in two coats of Lazy Linen in the All-in-One formula.

When it was dry I gave it a light sanding. You don’t want a super smooth finish at this point. The more texture there is for the Antiquing Dust to settle in, the more aged and weathered your final piece will be.

Using a chip brush, I applied my clear wax in a workable area. I applied the Antiquing Dust in Willow right over the wax using a different chip brush. Put most of the dust in the corners, edges and grooves, and fan it out over the rest of the flat surfaces. After I was done the area, I went back over with a soft cloth and very lightly moved the dust around until I was happy with the look.

I left the table about half an hour and then vacuumed up any dust left on it. I gave it a quick buff and it was finished! It has a beautiful weathered look now!

Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
