Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this dresser a glamorous makeover with Simplicity and Pocket Watch Metallic Cream hardware!

There’s just nothing like a crisp fresh white! Simplicity by Country Chic is a beautiful crisp white and was the perfect colour for this piece!

This was a client’s dresser and had a light coat of white paint already on it. It was chipping in places so after I gave it a good wash I also gave it a quick sanding. White can be a harder colour to get solid coverage with, so I generally plan for 2.5-3 coats. I used my favourite oval paint brush from Country Chic to paint this piece!

When it was dry I sanded it smooth and distressed the edges slightly with 220grit sandpaper. I sealed the dresser with Tough Coat for durability and protection. The hardware definitely needed some attention and we were wanting to match another piece in this client’s room. I cleaned the hardware and painted it with Pocket Watch Metallic Cream. The dresser has a crisp new look now!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
