Sarah from Honour Design chose Pebble Beach and Hurricane to give this entryway table a new, modernized look!

I have to admit I’m a bit of a newbie to this chalk paint phenomenon. I was nervous and intimidated. It had to be difficult if the projects turned out so gorgeous?!

I have to say that Country Chic paint has so many great tutorial videos, tips, and tricks posted. It was a breeze to try my first projects. As I built my confidence I started to feel a little braver to try something new.

I had been staring at my an eight-year-old dark brown table for years, knowing it needing a serious makeover. The fastest and simplest way to freshen up a piece?

Well, Country Chic Paint of course!

I got my hands on two colours in their all-in-one mineral paint. I picked “Pebble Beach” as my soft grey and “hurricane” as my deep accent punch.

I started my project by wiping down the surface with a rag and taping off the areas for the darker accent colour. Next, I grabbed my brush and started painting on “pebble beach” over the main part of the piece. After a couple hours, I went back again and added a second coat for the main colour.
After a day I untaped my border and taped on the opposite edges of the accent area to cover the main colour and create a crisp clean line between the grey tones. I painted the first coat of “hurricane” and waited two hours before adding the second coat. I waited another day before removing the taped accent area and unveiling my piece.

Since I chose an all-in-one paint from Country Chic so I didn’t even have to worry about a wax or top coat. The absolutely fabulous thing about the all-in-one paint is having that built in top coat! Complete genius! If you are looking for even more protection feel free to add a wax finish or a coat of Country Chic’s Tough Coat.
