This elegant, neutral dresser created by Cait from Little City Farmhouse with Lazy Linen, Natural Wax and Willow Antiquing Dust.

I am a huge fan of neutrals and classic colors – especially on dressers with beautiful shapes and lines. This dresser was done for a client and was previously painted white. She wanted it a very light grey but with some depth added.

I painted the dresser in two coats of Lazy Linen in the All in One formula. I often choose the All in One formula when I am painting over a previously painted finish because of it’s superior adhesion qualities.

I didn’t sand the dresser at all before the next step. The matte chalky finish helps the final look.

I applied Natural Wax and Antiquing Dust in Willow using a chip brush (separate for each product). I worked in sections first applying the wax and then the dust. I used a soft cloth folded into a flat pad to even out the dust and remove any excess.

When it was fully dry I added classic glass hardware. Simple, neutral, but has depth and character and a classic new look!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
