Adorable Toddler Bed

Cait from Little City Farmhouse decorated this adorable children’s room with a Fresh Mustard toddler bed frame.

Decorating children’s rooms has to be one of the funnest home projects.  They are great rooms to add color to!  Recently my niece was ready to move from her crib to a big girl bed, and so naturally we were on the hunt for a toddler bed that we could refinish for her!

I found this Ikea toddler bed on a local buy and sell site, and while it was cute in its dark wood state, it was a little dinged up and needed some color.  Her bedroom is full of different jewel tones and so we pulled several different Country Chic colors and ultimately ended up choosing Fresh Mustard.

The bed got two coats of paint in the All-in-One clay based formula.  I sanded it to distress it – if you have children, distressing their refinished furniture is a wise choice! Any future dings and dents will blend right in!

I waxed the bed with Antiquing Wax to give it an aged appearance.  Now its all set up and ready for one special little lady!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
