Crystal from Team Sutton Designs chose Pebble Beach as the perfect neutral grey to give this classic dresser a beautiful new finish! What do you think?

This dresser was actually the first dresser I had ever bought with my own money as an “adult.” It came with a matching bed and nightstand, but as I moved several times across states and kept putting furniture in and out of storage, this dresser was the only piece that stayed with me up until recently.

Originally it was a dark cherry wood and since I knew my purpose was to re-home it, I wanted to liven it up with a fresh coat of paint.

First I primed it with shellac based primer to make sure that no stain or residue bled through the paint. Then I painted it with three coats of Country Chic Paint’s Pebble Beach. I absolutely love this shade of gray because it can be paired with so many different colors and still make a statement!

I normally spray my pieces, but this one was painted with a roller. Country Chic Paint levels out so nicely there was hardly any roller texture left on the surface. Plus it also sand’s easily in between coats, so as long as the care is taken to ensure a smooth finish, Country Chic Paint definitely makes the job easy.

Looking at the color, it’s hard to find another shade of gray that is both warm and cool and can fit on large pieces like this dresser!

If there is any dilemma on what color to choose for your next project, Pebble Beach is definitely a tie breaker!
