Brandi from The Junque Market gave this side table an incredible new facelift with Midnight Sky and Pocket Watch metallic cream, reminiscent of her favorite piece of artwork!

Have you ever picked up used furniture off the curb? Until recently, I had never done such a thing. That is, until one day, I was driving through the neighborhood and saw what looked like a sturdy end table, just sitting there on the curb, looking for some love. Then it hit me. You know, the bug that catches some of us. The bug that whispers in your ear, “Hey girl, you can make that old piece of junk look beautiful again. Go on, you know you want to.”

So, under the persuasion of my newly acquired sick obsession, I did what any questionably sane, crafty chick would do. I pulled right over and snatched that table off the curb and popped it into the back of my hatchback. Yes, my children were in the car. Yes, they thought I had lost my mind, and they certainly had no problem telling me that. But I was determined that I would give this old end table a new life, and their snickers were not going to stop me.

Fast forward to now…Country Chic Paint is what I use on the majority of my projects. I just love the smooth silkiness, the fact that I barely have to prep anything I work on, and the fact that I can work inside the house because it has no odor. Those are just a few reasons why I love Country Chic Paint, but I could go on and on about it. I knew this end table would turn out just as beautiful as the day it was built, after a few coats of this miracle paint.

I did have to sand the table top a bit before painting, but only because it was in such horrible condition. After sanding, I painted it with two coats of Country Chic Paint All-In-One Décor Paint in Midnight Sky. It is such a gorgeous blue color! It puts me in mind of Van Gogh’s Starry Night. At this point, it was beautiful just as it sat.

But you know me, I had to add my own unique flair to it. I wanted to add a manly, bachelor vibe to my roadside find. So, I reached for my Country Chic Paint Metallic Cream in Pocket Watch. This was gonna add the bling to my masterpiece. I painted the bottom balls on the legs and the diamonds on the top to add some bachelor pad class. As a finishing touch, my hubby painted a clear acrylic drawer pull that we had on hand with the Metallic Cream.

After all the painting was wrapped up, I added a couple of coats of Country Chic Paint’s Tough Coat to the top. This would give the end table some extra durability and a satin finish. If this baby does happen to end up in a bachelor pad, Tough Coat is resistant to household chemicals, alcohol, and water. So, its beautiful top will stay in perfect shape for a long time.
