If you love rich jewel tones, you’re going to adore this bench makeover by Cait from Little City Farmhouse in Jitterbug and Pocket Watch metallic cream!

A project doesn’t have to be a big piece to have big impact! I recently got this little bench from a lady when I went to puck up a truckload of other furniture. As soon as I saw it I knew it needed gold and a jewel toned colour!

I chose Jitterbug – a limited edition colour – and Pocket Watch Metallic Cream to bring this stool to life. After I took the top off and prepped the bench for paint, I gave the bottom part of the legs one coat of Fresh Mustard as a base for the metallic cream. Doing this gives you a jump start on getting a solid look with the gold. When it was dry I painted on the Pocket Watch Metallic Cream until I was satisfied with the coverage, letting it fully dry between coats.

I then gave the stool two coats of Jitterbug, a gorgeous deep sea teal colour. When it was dry I gave it a coat of Clear Coat for some added shine and light protection.

The shape and style of this stool needed some glam, and I think that’s definitively what was achieved!

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
