Cait from Little City Farmhouse beautified the once yellowed finish of this curvy dresser with Hula Hoop and Natural Wax to give it modernized look!

I am really excited to share this piece with you! I love the shape of french provincial pieces, and this one is no exception. The curvy lines and details really come to life when these pieces are refinished. This dresser was the typical yellowed white that you often see, and that had to go!

I started with my usual prep steps: wash and then sand. I then painted it in two coats of Hula Hoop – a beautiful earthy grey. This is a limited edition colour that I will definitely be sad to see go!

I had already chosen my knobs, and because they were white, I decided to lightly distress this piece and let the previous white finish show through.

I really like the look of a waxed finish, so I gave it a good coat of Natural Wax. This isn’t a necessary step with the All-in-One paint as it already has a built in topcoat.

It never ceases to amaze me how much paint can completely change the look of furniture! This dresser was okay before but it definitely has presence and charm now!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! Iā€™m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
