This pretty pale blue Glass Slipper is sure to be an instant classic! Cait from Little City Farmhouse tried it out on her waterfall dresser with Antiquing Wax and White Wax and we just love how it turned out!

I am always thrilled when Country Chic Paint releases a new blue in their limited edition colours! This brand new blue, Glass Slipper, is no exception! It’s a beautiful blue with a grey undertone. Not too bold, but just enough colour!

I knew I wanted to do something handsome with this colour and so I chose this waterfall deco dresser. I started by sanding and staining the top of the dresser in a grey/brown shade. Be careful when you are sanding pieces like this because the veneer is very thin – you don’t want to sand through it!

For the body of the dresser, I gave it two coats of Glass Slipper. I didn’t do much sanding before I painted the dresser as I wanted it to distress well and wherever it wanted to. It turned out just like I had hoped!

The All-in-One formula doesn’t require a topcoat, but I wanted to tie the colour and the stain together a bit more. I used a combination of Antiquing Wax and White Wax to create a weathered look. I chose this combo instead of just grey wax so that I would have the brown undertones to pull out the browner tones in the stain.

Isn’t it a handsome piece? This is definitely a colour that will frequently be in rotation here!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
