Adorable Painted Doll Furniture

Does your little girl love her doll furniture? Why not give it new life with a coat of paint like Cait from Little City Farmhouse! She used Vanilla Frosting and Full Bloom to give this cradle and high chair a beautiful new look.

I love painting furniture for little ones! Their pieces are always so sweet! A friend of mine asked me to paint her daughter’s doll furniture and I happily obliged!

The little cradle had a previously shiny finish. Spindles can be such a pain, especially to sand, so I chose to give the cradle a coat of Clear Bonding Primer to ensure great adhesion. I used Country Chic Paint’s sponge to apply both the primer and two coats of paint. The sponge is such a great tool for things like spindles! I used the All-In-One formula in Vanilla Frosting to paint the cradle to further ensure great adhesion.

For the little highchair, we chose the colour Full Bloom. The piece didn’t have any finish on it previously so the only thing I did to prep here was to give it a good cleaning. After two coats of paint and a little distressing, it was finished! I also used the All-in-One formula here because the topcoat is built in and durable, so no extra topcoat was required!

These pieces are so sweet and the perfect addition to this little girl’s play room! Country Chic’s paint is safe to use around your children and on their furniture, so you can rest easy knowing that your little ones are safe and their play furniture can match your home!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
