Today we’d like to introduce you to our fabulous retailer, Tammy Weiler from Summit Paints! Read on to learn a bit about her shop and why she’s passionate about her work.
We interviewed Tammy Weiler, owner of Summit Paints in Aurora, ON to learn a little bit more about her store, what it’s like to be a Country Chic Paint retailer, and why she loves to what she does. Read on to learn more about her story!
Tammy has a diverse background with experience in the restaurant industry and a deep-rooted love of all things DIY. She even used to sell her own handmade and painted ceramics! On March 1st, 2017, she and her husband purchased Summit Paints; a shop that specialized in a wide variety of industrial paints and sprayers. Her husband, who loves to paint, has since then left his job to join Tammy in running Summit Paints full-time.
Her favorite thing about running her shop is having the ability to do the things she loves to do with the freedom of a flexible schedule. Tammy is a firm believer in strong customer service. She enjoys talking to her customers and introducing them to new products and techniques.
Her dream when she purchased the store was to branch out and expand the DIY section. She loves being involved with the welcoming, supportive, and inspirational DIY community that she’s gradually building. Since bringing the Country Chic Paint line into her store in August, 2017, the women of Aurora are starting to get more and more excited about the line and what her shop has to offer. Tammy chose to carry Country Chic Paint in her store because of its ease of use and many selling features such as its eco-friendly properties and helpful tutorial videos.
Tammy’s 4000 square foot shop has the largest inventory of paint in their area and is also the only local supplier of boutique craft supplies. Her fantastic attitude and know-how makes her the go-to DIY girl in her town!
Her future plans…
Tammy is always looking for exciting ways to broaden their horizons! She finds herself rearranging her shop several times a week as she’s always looking for new and creative ways to better her business. They’re hoping to expand their shop in future to allow space for furniture displays and Bring Your Own Piece workshops – for which there is already quite a bit of interest in her area!
Summit Paints will be hosting an open house on Tuesday, December 5th from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. There will be refreshments, vendors, hands on painting demos, Christmas decor, and much more, so make sure you stop by to shop and perhaps sign up workshop with Tammy!
