Adele & Rebecca: store owners and passionate furniture refurbishers

Their shop…

Adele & Rebecca are a mother/daughter partnership who own and manage a brick and mortar store on Main St. in Landmark, Manitoba in the heart of Canada. Their names (Adele and Rebecca Krasniuk) are the basis of their business name, ARK Ceramics & Gifts. They opened their doors ten years ago as a small gift shop and paint-your-own-pottery studio.

What makes their store unique is the combination of a gift shop and paint-your-own-pottery studio. Their gift shop sells lovingly handmade products and in the studio they teach ceramic painting and various other creative workshops including textured canvas painting, bath bomb making & furniture painting with Country Chic Paint. Three years ago they expanded the square footage of their shop in order to increase their product offerings to include their own all natural bath and beauty line!

Adele & Rebecca agreed that their favorite thing about running their store is seeing the satisfaction their customers feel when they complete a project and love the outcome. It is always encouraging for them to see what their customers create and see their faces light up when they show off their completed pieces.

What it’s like to be a Country Chic Paint retailer…

This is Adele & Rebecca’s story of why they chose to carry Country Chic Paint in their store:

“Destiny stepped in! After picking up a brochure during a short holiday, one of our customers asked if we would start supplying Country Chic Paint products. She had used other paints but liked Country Chic Paint the best. So, of course, we made the call and the rest is history!”

When asked if they had a favorite color they said it’s hard to choose a favorite because they like them all! Rebecca loves Devotion Adele is partial to the teal shades like Jitterbug and Bliss. One of the perks of having their own paint line in-store is that whenever the creative mood strikes them, they can simply grab the perfect shade right from their shelf and get creating!

“It feels like we are in a candy shop and we have all these products to sample…so much fun!!”
