Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this old fashioned trunk a brand new, “old” look with a bit of help from Devotion, Clear Coat, and Graphite Glaze!

The owner of this rustic, old fashioned trunk had stripped down its original finish and had a very specific vision in mind for its makeover.

She wanted to keep the original dings and dents that gave it all its character, so the only prep that was done was a wipe down to remove the dust.

Cait gave the entire trunk a few coats of Devotion.

Next, she applied a coat of Clear Coat to make the surface a bit smoother and less porous.

Now the trunk is ready to be glazed! Cait used Graphite Glaze to add depth to the bright red color, and help bring out the rustic details.

See the amazing difference it makes?

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
