Emy from Semigloss Design paired Tropical Cocktail with Simplicity and Reverie to create this amazing blended turquoise cabinet. Keep reading to see how she did it, step-by-step!
This piece started out as a 1970s dry sink. Since the top was very dirty and made of cheap laminate, Emy decided to completely replace it.
Supplies:
- Tropical Cocktail All-in-One Decor Paint
- Reverie All-in-One Decor Paint
- Simplicity All-in-One Decor Paint
- Paint brushes
- Spray bottle
- Hemp Oil
First, she painted the entire piece with a base coat of the color, Tropical Cocktail.
To add depth and the appearance of shadows in the depressed areas, she added a small amount of the color, Reverie.
To add the appearance of light to the raised areas, she added some Simplicity.
Now for the fun part! Emy lightly spritzed the surface with plain water in her spray bottle, then began blending with a clean paint brush.
Now the same steps can be repeated on all other surfaces of the piece!
Remember to work in small sections at a time so the paint doesn’t dry too much before you can begin blending.
