This Bombay dresser was refurbished by Abbey from Painted Home Goods. She blended several colors of All-in-One Decor Paint, then added some glaze and Clear Coat. Read on to learn all about the techniques she used!

Something about Bombay dressers stumps me. This one was just the right price so I brought it home but I couldn’t figure out what to do with it. It was outside my comfort zone so I decided to paint outside my comfort zone as well.

I started with a coat of Country Chic Paint Elegance. While the base coat was still damp I selected a handful of other Country Chic Paint colors:

  • Cobblestone
  • Rocky Mountain
  • Driftwood
  • Sunday Tea
  • Dreamcatcher (limited Edition color)
  • Strength (limited Edition color)

Starting with Driftwood and Cobblestone, I stippled in patches. I used Rocky Mountain for depth and highlighted with Dreamcatcher and Strength. I let it dry and came back to dab some Sunday Tea in areas.

To bring it all together, I sealed with a tinted topcoat of Graphite Glaze and Clear Coat. With glass knobs, the glam look is complete!

Abbey {Painted Home Goods}

As a mom to twin boys, I am always busy. Twice the fun, twice the work! My Twin Tornadoes and salvaging neglected furniture are my passions. If a twin mom in a small apartment can fix up and paint furniture, so can you! In today’s throw-away culture and tendency towards cheaply made, mass produced home goods, I seek to provide something different, something unique. Bringing new life to discarded finds is my way of contributing to the responsible thrifting counterculture that has become a growing trend. When shopping with PaintedHomeGoods you can feel good about what you buy. Enjoy!
