I love tables like this one because they are so versatile: coffee bar, entry table, narrow desk, etc.

I wanted a weathered, farmhouse-y style finish so I started with a coat of Country Chic Paint’s All-in-One Decor Paint color, Driftwood. In the corners and edges I layered on a bit of the limited edition color, Pawesome that I watered down a bit to add some dimension.

Once that dried I dry brushed with the color, Sunday Tea. The trick to dry brushing is to be sure you wipe off all excess paint so your brush feels very dry; that way you get just that little touch of color that you’re looking for.

The sanded down top got a fresh coat of stain to compliment the farmhouse finish. A simple, neutral look goes a long way in updating this plain-looking table.

As a mom to twin boys, I am always busy. Twice the fun, twice the work! My Twin Tornadoes and salvaging neglected furniture are my passions. If a twin mom in a small apartment can fix up and paint furniture, so can you! In today’s throw-away culture and tendency towards cheaply made, mass produced home goods, I seek to provide something different, something unique. Bringing new life to discarded finds is my way of contributing to the responsible thrifting counterculture that has become a growing trend. When shopping with PaintedHomeGoods you can feel good about what you buy. Enjoy!
