Cait from Little City Farmhouse gave this cute little desk a fun, bright makeover with the color, Wild Clover! Keep reading to hear all about this project.

A customer and friend of mine dropped by her aunt’s little desk to be refinished. She wanted something special, and a bold pop of colour.  The desk was small, and big colours work great on small pieces!

Originally she had sent me some idea photos of coral toned pinks. I mixed a custom pink but it just wasn’t working on the piece at all.  Sometimes that happens! But it’s just paint – it can be painted over!
We went back to the drawing board and she sent some idea photos of bold grass greens.  I had a previous limited edition colour, Wild Clover, that I thought would work perfectly!

I gave it two coats, along with a few coats of satin poly. We chose to stain the legs walnut to give it a little dimension and more of a modern feel.

Green was definitely the right choice for this piece!
It’s bold and beautiful and has a brand new look, all because of a little elbow grease and a great jar of paint!

Cait {Little City Farmhouse}

Hello! I’m Cait! I am a wife and a mom of two little ones, and a proud auntie of a growing little flock! I first started by refinishing several pieces in my own home, and fell in love with it. Slowly it turned into a business and something I could do from home. I love the thrill of finding old furniture, and I adore the process of refinishing it into something new and fresh. Refinishing furniture is the heart of my business. I believe your home should reflect who you are, and I love helping people get the look they want in their homes by refinishing their furniture for them.
