I have been challenging myself to go outside of my typical wheelhouse of colors to try as many of the new Country Chic Paint colors as I can!

One that drew my eye was this bright coral pink, Peachy Keen. If I’m going to use pink I typically stick with blush, but this looked beautiful. I picked up this vintage desk last minute and wasn’t feeling particularly inspired so I decided to go bold.

After 3 coats of Peachy Keen I sealed with Clear Coat then rubbed a tiny bit of Pearl Wax around the edges and all over with Gold Wax. I still wasn’t feeling inspired (perhaps because of the exhaustion from a lengthy summer cold) so I watered down a bit of Peachy Keen and brushed it over the large areas before distressing. With the added subtle depth of color and the faint shimmer of gold and pearl, I am loving this look.

Abbey {Painted Home Goods}

As a mom to twin boys, I am always busy. Twice the fun, twice the work! My Twin Tornadoes and salvaging neglected furniture are my passions. If a twin mom in a small apartment can fix up and paint furniture, so can you! In today’s throw-away culture and tendency towards cheaply made, mass produced home goods, I seek to provide something different, something unique. Bringing new life to discarded finds is my way of contributing to the responsible thrifting counterculture. When shopping with PaintedHomeGoods you can feel good about what you buy. Enjoy!
