Abbey from Painted Home Goods scored this buffet FOR FREE! She chose our limited edition paint color, Woodland to give it a totally new vintage style!

This buffet was huge and not in the best of shape. It was free and I considered just passing on it, but I am glad I didn’t!

The hinges needed replacing and the doors were falling apart, so I removed them. DAYS of sanding revealed a beautiful wood top. Even though there are imperfections I wanted a rustic look so I didn’t worry about it.

Two coats of Country Chic Paint in the color, Woodland (I’ve been holding onto my jar of this discontinued color because I love it so much) totally changed the entire feel of this cabinet. Vintage style pulls made it even better.

I am seriously impressed with this one, y’all. It was hard work but it proves even ugly, trashed pieces can be lovely and serve a purpose still with just a little elbow grease and some paint. I now have a new paint storage cabinet and work surface, and I am so happy!

Abbey {Painted Home Goods}

As a mom to twin boys, I am always busy. Twice the fun, twice the work! My Twin Tornadoes and salvaging neglected furniture are my passions. If a twin mom in a small apartment can fix up and paint furniture, so can you! In today’s throw-away culture and tendency towards cheaply made, mass produced home goods, I seek to provide something different, something unique. Bringing new life to discarded finds is my way of contributing to the responsible thrifting counterculture. When shopping with PaintedHomeGoods you can feel good about what you buy. Enjoy!
