Warm Grey Painted and Glazed Henredon Table

This table used to be dark and dated until Abbey from Painted Home Goods painted it with a custom warm grey color (of her own creation) and glazed it to create a white washed look!

This solid wood Henredon table was dated with its dark finish that did nothing for the details.

Since the finish on the top was flaking, I decided to sand it down.

I couldn’t decide on a color (and I didn’t seem to have quite enough of anything left)…so I mixed them all together! I had a touch of Country Chic Paint in the color, Driftwood left and I added the remains of a jar of Pebble Beach as well as a sample jar of Pop the Bubbly. The resulting color was a gorgeous shade of warm grey that paired well with the bare wood top.

I added a coat of Limestone glaze to the body and “stained” the top with the glaze as well. Have you ever used glaze as a stain before? Limestone glaze creates the perfect soft, whitewashed look.

This dark and dated table is now bright, modern, and ready for a new home!

Abbey {Painted Home Goods}

As a mom to twin boys, I am always busy. Twice the fun, twice the work! My Twin Tornadoes and salvaging neglected furniture are my passions. If a twin mom in a small apartment can fix up and paint furniture, so can you! In today’s throw-away culture and tendency towards cheaply made, mass produced home goods, I seek to provide something different, something unique. Bringing new life to discarded finds is my way of contributing to the responsible thrifting counterculture. When shopping with PaintedHomeGoods you can feel good about what you buy. Enjoy!
